Dreamt I was back at phs I don’t remember how it started but I was a senior trying to graduate explaining how I didn’t before cuz they’d always give me ISS and suspensions. And it was orientation day or like the first day back and I remember I think didn’t go to first period because then there was like after that I had this free study. I was talking with the students and there was a new principal, but most of the other staff was the same cause I remember when I was intermingling asking about just like what have been going on in the school whatever. there was a few of us who had skipped the first period or so and then you know and this kid was like oh yeah I hate waking up for health/pe for 6 am I just don’t go. And this kid was a very small freshman boy who could connect with what I was saying and my behavior and we were talking and you know I kind of felt like a connection with him as well like a mentor or whatever we were joking around and stuff and then the period ended and we’re all walking in the halls and stuff. I believe they said they were gonna take us to the study or I don’t quite recall, but we end up walking through the halls and I think I had already told the freshman that I was a witch I had already openly discussed or like most people knew amongst the student body at least and then we turn the corner and it’s this huge like cathedral it didn’t even feel catholic to me, but it felt like catholic adjacent cult of some sort, and the energy I got was so bad from this place that immediately I said uhn uhn. I raise my hand at the entrance before going in, and I looked at the teacher behind me and said “excuse me, I’m not going in there that’s against my religion” and then I just start leaving and the freshman was like me too, and was following me Down the hall like to leave and I think I was gonna go back to like the original room and just wait it out, but one of the administration approached us and they were approaching us being really aggressive, trying to force us into going and then I was like you can’t separation of church and state and we were like arguing. And then they were kind of tustling me around, but when the boy opened his mouth and stood up for me like when he spoke up against the administration for me they started choking him out and beating him and I remember screaming and trying to get at them but for some reason like I couldn’t rip them off and then I’m screaming for help down the hall and I’m screaming since my phone can’t record at them to audio record so there’s evidence and I’m screaming at people to help me and then I it’s like getting really violent choking him really almost to the point of death like thrashing him up against the wall and I think I somehow got him out or I didn’t cause I felt like I had failed to protect him, but I don’t know if that was just because I couldn’t until the end or if that the admin just eventually let go because even our teacher like the people in the hall were clearly, like the other students were seeing it, but they weren’t really saying much but they were when I said somebody record, they were looking for phones but no one was physically intervening, but I think when the teacher of our class started stepping towards them they like chilled it out a bit and whatever so I think I wasn’t even able to grab him honestly, but so then they made him go into the chapel and they might’ve made me go as well. Yeah I think I technically went in and you had to walk over this like brick. It was like a like you have to step over it like some brick wall in the doorway that was partially like covering the bottom by maybe like a foot and I feel like I went in the chapel only because I thought I remember seeing the parents in the family walk in, but I was so overwhelmed and I was so dissociating and then I was gonna have a panic attack so I was like I got to get out of here and I just left I left I think I said I needed a break or some space and then I was trying to collect my thoughts so I didn’t have a breakdown in front of everybody and then I was walking through school to the classroom I had a panic attack and I was like fuck this I’m fucking leaving and I grabbed my stuff And I remember being on those like kids tricycles those really low like plastic kids toy ones riding it they the halls and I turn the corner and I saw the principal and some guys setting up for the school pictures in the background in the hall and I’m biking by and I called out to the principal (who didn’t like me) and I asked him if he was using the company that took all of the pictures for Epstein and we kind of had this exchange of words where we’re both like I’m saying I’m calling him out and he is responding in the manner that tries to control the narrative as I’m biking on my little tricycle past him. I believe the last thing I said to him was how the only good thing in that school was the art department. And then I had run into a friend who kind of looked like ekko from arcane but not and I’m walking to get home and I was going back to go to 48 Aquidneck and we’re walking like and it’s the outdoors there’s grass and sidewalk and I’m walking with him and we’re talking and we get to this point where theres a stop sign and the sidewalk it’s like there’s a barrier on either side like the stop sign is in the corner of the bend of the sidewalk and it all has like a guard rail around it but like made of wood or kind of like a fence that’s connected. It’s very weird structure made of wood that came out from this stop sign and all around so I didn’t wanna have to go take that detour and be forced to follow this path and neither did my friend and he was able to fit through this small hole and he was like look we could just go through here and I was like I cannot fit through that but then I realize just to the right a little bit to the side. There was a bigger open space that I could fit through and then I was like oh look over here it’s like completely open almost and we made it back to my place where my mom and my dad were, and it was the 48 Aquidneck house but it was a little bit different but my dad was showing like my friend like oh my first coven and I had that not embarrassed, but it’s like oh that feeling when parents show your friends like baby pictures of you and are like harping on about how cute you were in your achievements and then you’re like daaaad staaahpp but I also remember at some point telling them like I don’t think I wanna graduate. I can’t go to that school. I’m just not going to graduate.. (For context in waking life my parents divorced when I was 4, my childhood home at 48 aquidneck had long been demolished, my camera actually doesn’t work on my phone, and the administration has done somewhat similar stuff to my friends and I before from phs)
This dream is rich with symbolism and seems to reflect anxiety, unresolved issues, and your feelings towards authority, your past experiences in high school, and your current state of mind. Here’s a detailed interpretation of the various elements in your dream:
Returning to PHS as a Senior: Dreaming that you are back in high school, specifically as a senior trying to graduate, suggests that you may be revisiting unresolved issues or past regrets related to your educational journey or authority figures. The feeling of attempting to graduate but facing barriers (ISS and suspensions) can signify ongoing feelings of being misunderstood or unfairly judged.
Orientation Day and Skipping First Period: This aspect indicates a form of rebellion or a desire for autonomy. Skipping first period might suggest a reluctance to conform to rules or structures you see as pointless or oppressive. It could also reflect a reluctance to start something new or face a situation that requires new beginnings.
Conversation with the Freshman: The connection with a small freshman boy represents a facet of yourself—perhaps a younger, more vulnerable self or a desire to mentor others who feel out of place. This connection could symbolize your wish to guide others through experiences similar to your own or to address your own past vulnerabilities.
Cathedral-like Hall: This scene introduces strong themes of religious and authoritative power structures. Your refusal to enter due to religious beliefs suggests a conflict with institutions and norms that you perceive as overbearing or misaligned with your values. The “Catholic adjacent cult” energy might hint at your feelings toward blindly followed societal norms.
Confrontation with Administration: This represents a battle against unjust authority figures. Your invoking of “separation of church and state” could symbolize a demand for personal space and fairness in places where systems seem to abuse power. The confrontation escalating into violence shows fears of being powerless against larger, coercive systems or groups.
Inability to Protect the Freshman: Your struggle to protect the boy could be reflecting feelings of helplessness, guilt, or past trauma. This could also extend to feelings of inadequacy in standing up against authority or witnessing injustices against oneself or those you care about.
Panic and Escape on a Tricycle: The tricycle symbolizes a return to childhood, emphasizing vulnerability and a desire to escape from overwhelming situations. Biking past the principal while confronting him may symbolize a defiance against those you see as hypocritical or complicit in wrongdoing.
Exchanging Words with the Principal: This represents ongoing internal conflicts with authority and the questioning of institutional integrity, possibly hinting at past experiences where you felt authority figures acted against ethical standards.
A Hill or Obstacle Leading Home: When trying to navigate back home, you encounter unusual barriers, reflecting potential obstacles or debates in your path to safety or personal goals. Finding new, alternative routes suggests strategic thinking and finding solutions outside of conventional paths.
Parents at 48 Aquidneck: The dream concludes with a return to a reimagined childhood home, despite it being demolished in real life. It's a longing for stability and comfort. The interaction with your parents, especially your father showing off accomplishments, could highlight a nostalgia for an idealized perception of childhood or past family dynamics. Simultaneously, declaring not to graduate may express fears of failure or the need to take a path different from conventional success.
Overall, this dream might be addressing deep-seated feelings about control, authority, and past experiences, mirroring current life challenges where you seek autonomy and struggle against structures perceived as unjust or infringing on personal freedom. Healing may involve addressing these unresolved feelings and systems, allowing yourself to navigate new paths uninhibited by previous limitations.
